Prairie Hosts Post-Season Girls & Boys Basketball. Updates on Bowling & Speech, BPA State
Come out and support the Hawks Saturday and Monday on their road to state.
Prairie Girls face Linn-Mar on Saturday, February 17th at 7 pm. Since this is a State event, activity passes are not accepted. Tickets are $6 and available to purchase on Bound. The winner will face the winning team of Cedar Falls vs Dubuque Hempstead on 2/20.
The Prairie Boys Basketball team faces Jefferson on Monday, February 19th at 7 pm in the first round of Boys Substate basketball. Since this is a IHSAA event, activity passes are not accepted. Tickets are $6 and available to purchase through Hometown Ticketing on the IHSAA site.
State Bowling
The Prairie Boys Bowling qualified as a Team and will bowl at State on Monday 2/19 at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Bound. Cole Sundstrom and Tharen Garringer also qualified in the state individual tournament on Tuesday. Kylie Cook qualified for individual girls state competition and will also Bowl on Tuesday.
State Speech is Saturday, February 17th at ISU
We have three groups nominated for ALL-STATE this year for Large Group which takes place at Iowa State on Saturday, February 17th.
Ensemble Acting: All the President’s Turds – Rebecca Hein, Natalie Koopman, Rose Forcier, Sawyer Speltz, Chloe Columbus, Kaitlyn Fults
Musical Theatre: Murder, Murder from Jekyll & Hyde – Carlie Robertson, Rose Forcier, Natalie Koopman, Jules Robinson, Sawyer Speltz
Solo Mime: Thinking Outside the Box – Carlie Robertson

BPA State 2/18 – 2/20
The Prairie Business Professional of America head to Des Moines on Sunday, February 18th to compete at BPA State Leadership Conference. Stay tuned for results.
